The Power of Transformation helps you become aware of how you have been affected by the trauma of people you care for in your professional and personal life. This course highlights practical ways to identify the cause of vicarious trauma, reduce stress and bring your life back into balance.

Many social service professionals, counselors, advocates, clergy, activists and direct support workers provide vital, necessary services assisting children, adults and families who may have experienced: loss, neglect or abuse. More often than not, children and adults within these families also suffer from trauma. Over time, people in helping and service professions are affected by working with traumatized individuals and communities due to the heart felt connection you establish with those you serve.

During this empowering training you will:

1) Learn what vicarious trauma is and the prevalence of trauma
2) Identify how vicarious trauma affects your professional and personal life
3) Learn wellness and self-care strategies to bring your life back into balance
