The L.O.V.E. Task Force on Non-Violent Living (Liberate Ourselves, Value Everyone) is launching its first event of the season - on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 7 PM at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 316 88th Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues in Manhattan.  

Honoring October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, our moderator Rev. Dr. Sally Mac Nichol, Co-Executive Director of CONNECT will be joined by Rev. Paul Feuerstein, Founder and President of Barrier Free Living, Ms. Doreen Lesane, domestic violence educator and advocate, and Mrs. Qumyka Rasheeda Howell, director and founder of the ISIS Foundation as panelists. We will focus through Spirit on the transformative power of inner strength joined with appropriate community response to victims experiencing the trauma of domestic violence. Two women survivors will present their artwork and personal experiences as living testimony to transformative healing. There will be an interactive discussion with both panelists and audience members on establishing healthy and fulfilling relationships.
