The Forum Project uses Theatre of the Oppressed and other creative techniques to engage individuals and communities to dialogue about the oppressions we face and to develop creative tactics for liberation.

Starting April 21, the Forum Project will be offering a five day-workshop series called “Deconstructing Sexual Violence: An Embodied Exploration”.

5 Mondays, April 21 - May 19, 6-8 PM

Designed for survivors of sexual violence, our allies, and support community, this workshop aims to address the oppression of sexual violence. Using embodied, creative exploration and theatrical expression, participants will be guided through a series of games and activities that invite them to explore issues, express themselves, play, and dialogue together in a supportive and challenging community environment.

We will explore participants’ personal experiences, deconstruct and combat the physical, emotional, interpersonal, and systemic aspects of sexual violence. Participants will work together to subvert internalized forms of oppression to create new, liberated spaces.
