CONNECT Faith cordially invites you to an Interfaith Breakfast: Communities of Faith Ending Child Sexual Abuse

Join us for an important conversation on steps faith communities can take to prevent and respond to child sexual abuse.

The statistics are staggering:

• 70 to 80 percent of offenders are known to children

• The average victim of sexual abuse is between 8-11 years of age

• 1 out of 4 women report being sexually victimized as a child

• 1 in 6 men have experienced unwanted or abusive sexual experiences before age 18

But faith leaders and clergy have a special role to play in Ending, Preventing and Responding to Child Sexual Abuse. Join us.

CONNECT’s Ending Child Sexual Abuse Faith Collaborative believes:

  • Child sexual abuse is a fundamental attack on human dignity, safety and trust.
  • Our desire to protect our children and ourselves from violence is rooted in love, and at the heart of this love is God’s love for us.
  • Our religious and spiritual traditions compel us to work to End Child Sexual Abuse
