Summer of 2014: The Season of Violence Across the Nation

Thurs. Sept. 25, 2014

Join us as we discuss the violence experienced by communities nationwide during the summer of 2014, including, Staten Island, Ferguson and the NFL’s response to domestic violence.
• What happens after the rallies?
• How does masculinity relate to gun violence?
• Are we forgetting about women and girls who face these same issues?
• How do we heal?
• What happened to accountability and justice?
• What is the racial impact of “broken windows” on black and brown communities?
• How can we effect change around these issues?
