October is Relationship Violence Awareness Month! In honor of this, Columbia Health Sexual Violence Response is hosting the “Unsilence the Violence” lecture series.

Join CONNECT Co-Director Quentin Walcott for a conversation about the “Dilemma of Engaging Men & Boys as Partners in Preventing Violence Against Women & Girls in Communities Facing Structural Violence.” This lecture and discussion will explore effective strategies developed in diverse communities of men in NYC. Debunking the myths about groups most impacted by systemic violence in communities of color by examining the underpinnings of violence at the intersections of race and gender. Identifying ways men of color maintain power/privilege in their intimate partner and community relationships while simultaneously being marginalized.

This event is free of charge, but seating is limited, so please RSVP here.
