You must complete the Understanding Domestic Violence: Essentials and Intersections in order to be eligible to take “Women’s Empowerment for Survivors and Victims,” a 36-hour course on the techniques for empowering and healing victims, cultivating advocacy skills and creating a self-care plan to manage the stress of working with victims.

Join our Fall 2015 Training

An important tool for direct service providers and people interested in leading empowerment groups for survivors, including immigrant women and women with children in the child welfare system and women in recovery.

  • Develop your own curricula to work with survivors and victims of domestic and intimate partner violence
  • Explore how family violence shapes personal and social lives
  • Cultivate advocacy skills to empower the specific population you work with
  • Create a personal self-care plan to manage the stress of working with trauma victims

Materials Fee: $250
