CONNECT’s Training Institute offers a Women’s Empowerment Training - a unique opportunity to get training, guidance, technical assistance and mentorship as you develop your own women’s empowerment program.

You must have completed the Understanding Domestic Violence Essentials and Intersections training in order to be eligible to take “Women’s Empowerment Training,” a 36-hour course on the techniques for empowering and healing victims, cultivating advocacy skills and creating a self-care plan to manage the stress of working with victims.

Are you interested in working with women and developing techniques to empower and heal survivors and victims of trauma?

An important tool for direct service providers and people interested in leading empowerment groups for survivors, including immigrant women and women with children in the child welfare system and women in recovery.

  • Develop your own curricula to work with survivors and victims of domestic and intimate partner violence
  • Explore how family violence shapes personal and social lives
  • Cultivate advocacy skills to empower the specific population you work with
  • Create a personal self-care plan to manage the stress of working with trauma victims

Materials Fee: $250
