Trauma is an experience in our body. The body remembers neglect, abuse, and terror. Trauma keeps us trapped between regret of the past and fear of the future. Every week, in partnership with Exhale to Inhale Yoga, we offer free yoga classes designed to support trauma survivors.

Move, relax, and breathe together in an gentle, enlivening yoga class at CONNECT. Classes are FREE of cost and appropriate for all levels of experience and ability.

What is YOGA?
Yoga is a 5000 year old practice and science. Research shows that yoga cam help you sleep, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, help with circulation, and increase metabolism.

What is this class like?
This yoga class might be a bit different from one you would find at a yoga studio or gym. For example, in this class the lights stay on, the yoga teacher remains on her mat during class, and everything in class is optional.
Do I need to be flexible?
No. This class is for all body types and all fitness levels.

Why should I try Yoga?
Yoga can help you many ways. It can:

  • Ease back pain
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself! Yoga mats are supplied. If you’d like to use your own yoga mat you are welcome to bring it.
What do I wear?
Loose clothing, anything you are comfortable in (T-shirts, shorts, yoga pants, sweatpants or leggings).
No RSVP Required. Please note that this class is for women.

NOTECONNECT is very sorry that we are unable to provide childcare during yoga classes.
Parents/caregivers will need to make alternate childcare arrangements in order to attend yoga classes. We are so sorry for the inconvenience!
