This course is for people working with women and victims and survivors.
This 6-week course is for people working with women and victims and survivors. It looks at how family violence shapes personal and social lives, and teaches techniques for empowering and healing victims. Participants develop their own curricula, cultivate advocacy skills and create a personal self-care plan to manage the stress of working with trauma victims.

Sharene Roig, Ed.M., MA full-time trainer and educator for CTI and CONNECT’s Family Violence Prevention Program. Sharene conducts DV trainings to foster care and preventive services staff, provides technical assistance and DV case consultations, assisted in the development of Administration for Children’s Services DV protocol for foster and preventive services and is a lead trainer for Understanding Domestic Violence: Essentials & Intersections. Sharene has over seven years of experience developing curriculum and facilitating parenting and support groups for victims and survivors of intimate partner violence. She also coordinated a special Immigration Project for VAWA Eligible DV survivors.
