This is a 5–day course on teen dating violence and other abuses that girls and young women face.
This is a 4-day course on teen dating violence and other abuses that girls and young women face. It provides room to explore these issues and heal the hurtful impacts of gender socialization. Participants acquire skills to set up peer-to-peer and community action projects for girls.
Facilitator(s): Sharene Roig
Sharene Roig, Ed.M., MA full-time trainer and educator for CTI and CONNECT’s Family Violence Prevention Program. Sharene conducts DV trainings to foster care and preventive services staff, provides technical assistance and DV case consultations, assisted in the development of Administration for Children’s Services DV protocol for foster and preventive services and is a lead trainer for Understanding Domestic Violence: Essentials & Intersections. Sharene has over seven years of experience developing curriculum and facilitating parenting and support groups for victims and survivors of intimate partner violence. She also coordinated a special Immigration Project for VAWA Eligible DV survivors.
