INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE & PREGNANCY: AN INTRODUCTION

This 3-hour training will help identify signs of IPV during pregnancy; provide strategies on how to reduce IPV during pregnancy; and provide ways to assist survivors.
Intimate partner violence (IPV) can occur and increase during pregnancy. According to the National Coalition of against Domestic Violence, each year approximately, 324,000 people experience intimate partner violence while pregnant. This training focuses on Reproductive coercion (behavior that interferes with contraception use and pregnancy); Specific warning signs of IPV during pregnancy; and Unique obstacles to leaving while pregnant.

12-Session (Mar-May 20 2024) Virtual Support Group for Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence
Intimate partner abuse can create situations where women feel isolated, trapped and confused about their experiences. This is a 12-session support group for survivors of intimate partner violence.
This group is a "safe refuge" for women to: Assist survivors in processing their individual experiences; Use self-care strategies and techniques as part of the healing process; Assist survivors in individualized and on- going safety planning; Provide information on survivors rights and resources; Provide a space where women can share their stories in a circle of support.
