INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE & PREGNANCY: AN INTRODUCTION

This 3-hour training will help identify signs of IPV during pregnancy; provide strategies on how to reduce IPV during pregnancy; and provide ways to assist survivors.

Intimate partner violence (IPV) can occur and increase during pregnancy. According to the National Coalition of against Domestic Violence, each year approximately, 324,000 people experience intimate partner violence while pregnant. This training focuses on Reproductive coercion (behavior that interferes with contraception use and pregnancy); Specific warning signs of IPV during pregnancy; and Unique obstacles to leaving while pregnant.
